Accuracy note: Accuracy is expressed as ±(% of reading + least significant digits) at an ambient temperature of 23 ± 5 °C. Additional conditions apply to AC measurements, including signal frequency and waveform. Accuracy in VFC mode differs from normal measurement mode.

Design and Controls

The UT210E features a rotary function selector, clamp jaw trigger, digital LCD and dedicated SELECT, ZERO and HOLD buttons.

The SELECT button switches between associated measurement functions and provides access to VFC mode. ZERO is used to compensate DC current offset, while HOLD freezes the displayed reading. Pressing and holding HOLD activates or deactivates the display backlight.

Separate COM and positive input terminals are provided for voltage, resistance, capacitance and diode measurements.

Important Safety and Operating Notes

• Before DC current measurement, use the ZERO function and maintain a similar instrument orientation during zero adjustment and measurement.
• Disconnect test leads from the meter when measuring current with the clamp jaws.
• Disconnect power and discharge capacitors before resistance, capacitance, diode or continuity measurements.
• Do not exceed the specified measurement limits or safety categories.
• For non-sinusoidal signals, additional True RMS measurement error may occur depending on waveform crest factor.
• NCV response depends on conductor position, distance and electric field strength. Always verify absence of voltage using a suitable approved testing instrument.
