This module can be used with laser diodes as a beam detector. When a photo diode is illuminated by a laser, a logic '1' appears at the output. The output can be connected to an Arduino.
ATTENTION! Reacts to unmodulated light, so it is recommended to use it in such a way that it does not illuminate other bright light sources.
