Description
Wireless Router MERCUSYS MR30G, AC1200, Wi-Fi 5, Dual Band 2.4 / 5 GHz, Gigabit Ethernet
The MERCUSYS MR30G is a dual-band wireless router designed for home and small office networks. It supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), delivering theoretical wireless link speeds of up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Four external antennas, Beamforming and MU-MIMO help extend wireless coverage and improve network efficiency when multiple devices are connected. Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity for computers, televisions and other network devices.
Key specifications: Wi-Fi 5 (AC1200) • 2.4 GHz – 300 Mbps • 5 GHz – 867 Mbps • 1 × Gigabit WAN + 2 × Gigabit LAN • 4 × 5 dBi antennas • MU-MIMO • Beamforming
Key Features and Benefits
- Dual-band Wi-Fi – the 2.4 GHz band is suitable for everyday browsing and longer-range connections, while the 5 GHz band provides higher bandwidth for video streaming, online gaming and other data-intensive applications.
- Gigabit Ethernet ports – one 10/100/1000 Mbps WAN port and two 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports support high-speed wired internet access and connectivity for stationary network devices.
- Four external 5 dBi antennas with Beamforming – help direct wireless signals towards connected devices and improve indoor Wi-Fi coverage.
- MU-MIMO technology – enables simultaneous data transmission to multiple compatible devices, improving overall network efficiency.
- Two operating modes and EasyMesh – Router and Access Point modes provide flexible network deployment. EasyMesh compatibility, with supported firmware, allows Wi-Fi coverage to be extended using compatible devices.
- Wireless network security – WPA/WPA2, WPA3 with updated firmware, an SPI firewall and access control help protect the home network.
- Parental Controls, QoS and Guest Network – provide internet access restrictions, device prioritisation and separate wireless access for visitors.
- IPTV and IPv6 support – IGMP Proxy, IGMP Snooping, Bridge and Tag VLAN functions support compatible IPTV services, while IPv6 enables connectivity to networks using the newer internet protocol.
- MERCUSYS app management – with compatible firmware, the router can be configured and managed using an iOS or Android device or through its web-based management interface.
Applications
The router is intended for home and small office networks with smartphones, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles and other Wi-Fi or Ethernet devices.
In Router mode, the MR30G creates a local network for wired and wireless devices. In Access Point mode, it adds wireless connectivity to an existing wired network. With compatible EasyMesh devices, wireless coverage can be extended while maintaining a shared network name.
Compatibility and Limitations
- Supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless standards. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is not supported.
- Internet connection types: Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and L2TP.
- Supports IPv4, IPv6 and compatible ISP IPTV configurations.
- EasyMesh, WPA3 and MERCUSYS app availability depend on the installed firmware version. Older V1 units may require a firmware update.
- Connected devices must also support MU-MIMO to benefit from simultaneous MU-MIMO transmissions.
- The maximum supported wireless channel width is 80 MHz. No USB port is provided.

Important Operating and Safety Notes
- AC1200 represents the combined theoretical physical link-rate class of the two wireless bands. It does not indicate the guaranteed speed of a single device or an internet connection. Actual throughput and coverage depend on obstacles, interference, network traffic and client capabilities.
- The MR30G is intended for indoor use in the European Union. Provide adequate ventilation and protect the device from moisture and excessive heat.
- Use the power adapter supplied by the manufacturer.
- Before using WPA3, EasyMesh or app-based management, check the installed firmware version and, if necessary, install the appropriate update for the MR30G V1 hardware version and region.
