TFA METEOMAR 35.1124 Maritime Digital Weather Station, Barometer, Pressure Alarm, DCF Clock

TFA METEOMAR 35.1124 is a maritime-style digital weather station designed for monitoring atmospheric pressure changes and indoor climate conditions. It measures barometric pressure, indoor temperature and relative humidity, displays pressure history in graphical form and provides adjustable alarms for pressure changes. The station also features a radio-controlled clock and can be expanded with optional wireless temperature and humidity transmitters for monitoring additional indoor or outdoor locations.

Key specifications: Atmospheric pressure 800–1100 hPa • Accuracy ±1 hPa • Pressure history 1/3/24 h • 4 adjustable pressure-change alarm limits • Up to 3 wireless transmitters

Key Features and Benefits

  • Accurate atmospheric pressure measurement. The integrated barometer operates over an 800–1100 hPa range with ±1 hPa accuracy and 0.1 hPa resolution, allowing small pressure variations to be monitored.
  • Detailed pressure history graph. Selectable 1-hour, 3-hour and 24-hour bar charts provide a clear overview of atmospheric pressure trends and changes over time.
  • Adjustable pressure-change alarms. Four independent alarm thresholds provide upper and lower pressure-change limits for both 1-hour and 3-hour periods. Audible and visual alerts indicate when a configured threshold is exceeded.
  • Atmospheric pressure trend indicator. Directional arrows indicate whether pressure has risen, fallen or remained stable during the preceding three hours, helping users identify potential changes in weather conditions.
  • Indoor climate monitoring. Measures indoor temperature from 0 to +50 °C and relative humidity from 10 to 99% RH.
  • Maximum and minimum value memory. Stores minimum and maximum readings for temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. Values can be reset manually or automatically every day.
  • DCF-77 radio-controlled clock. Provides automatic time synchronisation, date indication, time zone adjustment and optional manual setting.
  • Expandable wireless monitoring. Supports up to three optional TFA 30.3249.02 wireless thermo-hygro transmitters for monitoring conditions in other rooms or outdoor locations.
  • Maritime-inspired housing. A circular design with an anodised, brushed aluminium frame and sturdy mounting bracket allows tabletop placement or wall installation.

Applications

The METEOMAR weather station is suitable for monitoring atmospheric pressure trends and indoor climate conditions in homes, offices, leisure rooms and other indoor environments.

Its pressure history display and configurable alarms are particularly useful for users interested in observing local atmospheric changes that may indicate developing weather conditions.

The maritime design makes the instrument suitable for nautical-themed interiors. However, it is not intended to replace professional marine navigation equipment or official severe-weather warning services.

With optional wireless transmitters, additional temperature and humidity measurements can be obtained from outdoor locations, neighbouring rooms, storage areas or other remote monitoring points.

Compatibility and Limitations

  • Compatible optional transmitter: TFA 30.3249.02.
  • Maximum number of transmitters: 3.
  • Wireless transmission frequency: 433 MHz.
  • Maximum wireless range: Approximately 100 m in open areas. Walls, buildings and electromagnetic interference may reduce the effective range.
  • Remote temperature and humidity measurements: Require separately purchased wireless transmitters.
  • Clock synchronisation: Uses the DCF-77 radio signal. Manual time setting is available when reception is unavailable.
  • Operating environment: The base station is intended for indoor use only and must be protected against moisture and direct exposure to water.
  • Atmospheric pressure calibration: The relative pressure reading must be adjusted to a local sea-level reference pressure value.

Design and Operation

The circular LCD display provides simultaneous access to the time, date, indoor temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, pressure trend and graphical pressure history.

Four control buttons — SET/MODE, CH/+, MAX/MIN/− and ALARM — provide access to settings, pressure graph selection, alarm thresholds, stored measurements and transmitter channels.

When optional transmitters are connected, the display can show an individual channel or automatically cycle through available readings at 10-second intervals.

Important Operating and Safety Notes

  • Before use, adjust the relative atmospheric pressure to the local reference value corrected to sea level.
  • The base station is designed exclusively for indoor operation. Protect it against water, moisture, excessive vibration and direct sunlight.
  • For reliable DCF signal reception, the manufacturer recommends maintaining a distance of at least 2 m from potential electromagnetic interference sources and large metal objects.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Remove batteries during prolonged storage.
  • Atmospheric pressure trends provide indicative meteorological information and do not replace official weather forecasts or severe-weather warnings.
