Description
UNI-T UT665P Industrial Borescope, 8 mm Camera, 4.3″ Display, 1 m Probe, IP67
The UNI-T UT665P is a handheld single-lens industrial borescope designed for visual inspection of inaccessible cavities, machinery, pipes and other confined spaces. It features an 8 mm CMOS camera, a 1 m shape-holding probe, a 4.3″ display and 8 adjustable LEDs. A 20–100 mm depth of field and an IP67-rated camera head make it suitable for a wide range of technical inspection tasks.
Key specifications:
8 mm camera • 1 m probe • 4.3″ / 1280 × 720 display • 20–100 mm DOF • 70° FOV • IP67 camera head
Key features
- 8 mm camera head – enables inspection through relatively narrow openings and confined spaces.
- 1 m shape-holding probe – can be bent into the required form and guided toward the inspection area.
- 70° field of view (FOV) – provides a useful viewing area in confined locations.
- 20–100 mm depth of field (DOF) – the optimum imaging distance is approximately 2–10 cm.
- 8 integrated LEDs – illuminate dark cavities, with four settings including the LED-off position.
- 4.3″ 1280 × 720 display – shows the camera image directly without requiring a smartphone or computer.
- Up to 2× digital image zoom – 1.0×, 1.5× and 2.0× settings help inspect smaller details.
- 180° image rotation – helps maintain correct image orientation when the probe is inserted at different angles.
- Colour / black-and-white modes and contrast adjustment – allow the image to be adapted to different inspection conditions.
- Replaceable probe with aviation-type connector – the probe can be disconnected from the main unit.
- Up to 6 hours operating time – powered by an integrated 3.7 V / 2000 mAh Li-ion battery.
Applications
The UNI-T UT665P is intended for visual inspection of areas that are difficult or impossible to see directly. The manufacturer identifies applications including automotive servicing, household use, machinery, chemical industry, aviation, safety inspection and other technical fields.
Typical applications include:
- inspection of engines and mechanical cavities;
- internal inspection of pipes and ducts;
- checking inaccessible areas inside machinery and equipment;
- visual inspection behind walls or inside structural cavities;
- retrieving metallic objects with the supplied magnet;
- reaching or hooking objects with the supplied hook;
- viewing sideways using the supplied side mirror.
Compatibility and limitations
- The standard UT665P uses a 1 m probe. The 5 m and 10 m versions are separate UT665P-5m and UT665P-10m models.
- Camera diameter is 8 mm; the inspected opening must therefore provide sufficient clearance.
- The optimum imaging distance is 20–100 mm. Objects significantly closer or farther away may appear out of focus.
- The IP67 rating applies to the camera head, not to the entire handheld unit.
- Camera operating temperature is 0…80 °C. The manufacturer states that the camera is not designed for high-temperature inspection; an engine, for example, should be allowed to cool before inspection.
- The product is not intended for medical use or human-body inspection.
- The manufacturer's UT665P documentation does not specify photo capture, video recording or memory-card functions.
- Charging is via USB Type-C from a 5 V / 1 A power source. Fast charging is not supported.

Design and operation
The UT665P is a self-contained handheld inspection device. The camera image is displayed directly on the integrated 4.3″ screen, so no smartphone or computer is required for normal operation.
Dedicated controls allow the user to change display brightness, image contrast, camera LED intensity, colour/black-and-white mode, digital zoom and 180° image rotation. A reset function restores the image settings to their defaults.
The probe connects to the main unit via a replaceable aviation-type connector. Its shape-holding construction allows it to be bent and guided toward the required inspection location.
Important operating and safety notes
- Do not subject the camera to heavy impacts or pull forcefully on the probe cable.
- When working around sharp edges, protect the probe's waterproof protective layer from damage.
- The camera head is not designed for high-temperature environments. Allow engines and other hot equipment to cool before inspection.
- Keep the camera and main unit clean and dry when not in use and protect them from oil and corrosive materials.
- Charge the unit from a 5 V / 1 A source using the USB Type-C cable. Fast charging is not supported.
- If the device is stored for an extended period, the manufacturer recommends charging it at least once every 3 months to prevent excessive battery discharge.
- If the image is unclear, ensure the camera is approximately 20–100 mm from the object and clean the front of the camera if necessary.
- Warming of the camera head, particularly when the LEDs are used at maximum brightness, is described by the manufacturer as normal.
- The product is not intended for medical use or examination of the human body.
