Description
UNI-T UT667 Industrial Borescope, 4.3″ IPS, 8 mm Camera, 1 m Probe, IP67
The UNI-T UT667 is a handheld industrial borescope designed for visual inspection of inaccessible areas inside machinery, equipment, pipelines and structures without unnecessary disassembly. It features a 4.3″ IPS display, an 8 mm CMOS camera with 8 adjustable LEDs, a replaceable 1 m probe and a 20–100 mm depth of field. The camera is IP67 rated for inspections in dusty or wet environments within the manufacturer's specified operating limits.
Key specifications:
4.3″ IPS • 1280 × 720 display • 8 mm camera • 1 m probe • 20–100 mm DOF • 70° FOV • IP67 camera
Key features
- 4.3″ IPS display – allows inspection without a smartphone or external monitor.
- 1280 × 720 display resolution – provides a detailed on-screen image; this specification refers to the display, not the camera sensor.
- 8 mm camera diameter – suitable for inspecting relatively narrow openings, pipes and internal cavities.
- 20–100 mm depth of field – objects are intended to be viewed approximately 2–10 cm from the camera.
- 70° field of view – provides a wide view of the inspection area.
- 8 adjustable LEDs – illuminate dark areas, with four brightness levels specified by the manufacturer.
- IP67-rated camera – protects the camera section against dust and water according to the stated IP rating.
- Replaceable probe with aviation-type connector – the probe can be disconnected from the main unit; the UT667 version uses a 1 m probe.
- Image rotation and zoom – assists with orientation and closer visual examination.
- Colour / monochrome image modes – allow the image presentation to be adapted to inspection conditions.
- Up to 5 hours of operation – powered by an integrated 3.7 V / 2000 mAh Li-ion battery.
Applications
The UT667 is designed for non-destructive visual inspection of areas that cannot be viewed directly.
Manufacturer-listed application areas include:
- internal inspection of vehicles and machinery;
- pipelines and enclosed cavities;
- electrical and power equipment;
- chemical and petrochemical installations;
- shipbuilding and transport maintenance;
- gas and power infrastructure;
- civil engineering;
- other technical inspections where dismantling equipment would be undesirable or impractical.
The instrument is suitable for maintenance personnel, mechanics, installers and other technical specialists requiring access to difficult-to-see areas.
Compatibility and limitations
- The UT667 is supplied with a 1 m probe. Separate UT667-5m and UT667-10m versions use 5 m and 10 m probes.
- The probe connects via an aviation-type connector and is replaceable.
- The IP67 rating applies to the camera, not to the complete handheld unit.
- Camera operating temperature is 0…80 °C, while the main instrument operating temperature is 0…45 °C.
- The manufacturer does not specify photo storage, video recording or memory-card functions for the UT667, so these functions should not be assumed.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are not specified by the manufacturer.
- 1280 × 720 is the display resolution. The camera sensor is separately specified as 300K pixels.

Design and operation
The UT667 combines a handheld display unit with a detachable probe. The probe connects using an aviation-type connector and can be replaced with a compatible UT667-series probe.
Eight LEDs are integrated around the camera head with four brightness settings. The displayed image can be rotated, zoomed in or out, and switched between colour and monochrome modes.
Important operating and safety notes
- Camera-head temperature must remain within 0…80 °C during operation.
- The main instrument is specified for an ambient operating temperature of 0…45 °C.
- Operating humidity must remain below 90% RH, without condensation.
- The IP67 rating applies to the camera section; the complete handheld unit should not be assumed to have the same protection rating.
- The borescope is intended for visual inspection and is not a measuring instrument for dimensions, temperature or other physical quantities.
- When inspecting machinery, ensure that moving components cannot catch or damage the probe.
