Kontakt Chemie KONTAKT 60 is an active oxide-dissolving electrical contact cleaner designed to restore corroded, heavily contaminated and intensively used electrical contacts.

The product chemically dissolves oxide and corrosion deposits formed on contact surfaces. This helps restore low contact resistance and reduce unwanted voltage drops, even in low-voltage and low-signal circuits or where the mechanical contact pressure is very low.

KONTAKT 60 is particularly suitable when an ordinary neutral electronics cleaner is not sufficient because the contacts are oxidised, tarnished or affected by corrosion.

🧪 Recommended three-stage contact treatment

For the best result, the manufacturer recommends a three-product treatment system:

1. KONTAKT 60 – dissolves oxide and corrosion deposits.
2. KONTAKT WL – rinses away dissolved contamination and cleaner residues.
3. KONTAKT 61 – lubricates the contacts and provides long-term corrosion protection.

KONTAKT 60 is an active oxide remover. It should therefore not be applied excessively or left as the final protective treatment. Rinsing and subsequent protection are recommended.

📋 Directions for use

1. Switch off the equipment completely and disconnect it from all power sources.
2. Remove loose dust and surface contamination.
3. Spray a small amount of KONTAKT 60 directly onto the oxidised contacts.
4. Allow the product sufficient time to attack the oxide deposits.
5. Where possible, operate the switch, plug or contact mechanism several times.
6. Rinse away dissolved oxides and contamination with KONTAKT WL.
7. Allow the solvents to evaporate completely.
8. Apply KONTAKT 61 for lubrication and long-term protection.
9. Do not reconnect the equipment until all treated parts are completely dry.
