Description
FNIRSI HS-02B F Smart Soldering Iron, 100 W, 100–450 °C, USB-C PD/QC
The FNIRSI HS-02B F is a compact digitally controlled soldering iron intended for electronics repair, PCB soldering, wiring and other precision soldering work. It provides an adjustable 100–450 °C temperature range, up to 100 W maximum power, a 0.96" IPS colour display and USB-C power with PD and QC support. Three programmable temperature presets, adjustable power, sleep and standby functions allow the iron to be adapted to different soldering tasks and power sources.
Key parameters:
up to 100 W • 100–450 °C • USB-C, PD/QC, 9–20 V • 0.96" IPS display • HS-02B I / IS / K tips
Key features and benefits
- Up to 100 W maximum power – provides additional thermal capacity for rapid tip recovery and soldering connections with higher thermal mass.
- 100–450 °C adjustable temperature – allows the working temperature to be matched to different solders, wires and electronic components.
- Rapid heating – FNIRSI specifies approximately 2 seconds to tinning readiness. Actual heating time depends on the power source and selected settings.
- 0.96" IPS colour display – displays actual and target tip temperature, selected preset, operating voltage and heating-power indication.
- Three CH1 / CH2 / CH3 temperature presets – provide quick access to commonly used temperatures. Factory preset values are 300 °C, 330 °C and 360 °C and can be changed by the user.
- Adjustable voltage and power – with a PD supply the operating voltage can be selected from 9 V, 12 V, 15 V or 20 V, while maximum heating power can be limited from 10 to 100%.
- Sleep and standby modes – automatically reduce temperature or stop heating after a configurable period of inactivity, helping reduce tip oxidation and unnecessary power consumption.
- Temperature calibration – supports three calibration points when used with an external soldering-tip thermometer.
- Left- and right-handed operation – the direction of the control buttons can be adapted to the user's preferred hand.
- Replaceable HS-02B tips – the HS-02B version supports dedicated I, IS and K tip types.
Applications
The FNIRSI HS-02B is suitable for electronics repair, prototyping, PCB soldering, wire connections, small electronic components and similar soldering tasks. Its compact construction and USB-C power input make it particularly useful as part of a portable electronics toolkit.
The adjustable temperature and replaceable tips make it suitable for DIY users as well as electronics maintenance and repair work.
Compatibility and limitations
The soldering iron is powered through USB-C and supports PD and QC power protocols. With a compatible PD adapter, the operating voltage can be selected between 9 V, 12 V, 15 V and 20 V; the default setting is 20 V.
Available heating power is limited by the connected power source. The HS-02B is rated for up to 100 W, while the 65 W PD adapter supplied with the HS-02B F kit cannot provide the full 100 W. A suitable USB-C PD power source and cable capable of supplying the required power are necessary to make use of the iron's maximum power capability.
When a power supply without PD or QC is used, the soldering iron operates from the actual input voltage. At voltages below 9 V, a low-voltage warning is displayed.
HS-02A and HS-02B soldering tips are not interchangeable. The manufacturer specifies the use of dedicated HS-02B tips.
The soldering iron has no built-in battery and requires an external power source during operation.

Construction and controls
The soldering iron is controlled using three physical buttons and a 0.96" IPS colour display. The main working screen shows actual tip temperature, target temperature, CH1–CH3 preset selection, supply voltage and heating-power indication.
The settings menu provides adjustment of temperature, maximum power, PD voltage, sleep and standby parameters, display brightness, sound, temperature units and left/right-handed operation. Factory reset and firmware update functions are also available.
Important operating and safety notes
- The soldering tip can reach temperatures up to 450 °C. Do not touch heated parts.
- For a new tip, the manufacturer recommends initially heating it to approximately 250 °C and immediately tinning the surface to reduce oxidation.
- After use, leave a suitable coating of solder on the tip to help protect it from oxidation.
- FNIRSI states that a typical working range for the tip is approximately 300–380 °C; prolonged operation at excessively high temperature can reduce tip life.
- Do not wet the product or use it in damp environments.
- Disconnect the power source when the soldering iron will not be used for a prolonged period.
- Do not interchange HS-02A and HS-02B tips.
