Description
UNI-T UT363S Digital Anemometer, 0.4–30 m/s, with Remote Sensor and Thermometer
The UNI-T UT363S is a digital anemometer designed to measure air velocity and temperature. Its separate vane sensor, connected to the display unit by a flexible cable, allows convenient measurements at ventilation openings, ducts and other difficult-to-reach locations. The backlit LCD displays measurement results, while MAX/MIN/AVG modes help evaluate changes in airflow velocity.
Key specifications: 0.4–30 m/s • –10 to +50°C • ±(5% + 0.5 m/s) • 0.5 s • remote sensor • MAX/MIN/AVG
Key Features and Benefits
- Separate measuring sensor – the vane-type air velocity and temperature sensor is connected to the main unit by a flexible cable, allowing measurements away from the display.
- Air velocity measurement – measures air speeds from 0.4 to 30 m/s, suitable for inspecting ventilation systems, exhaust outlets and other airflow applications.
- Air temperature measurement – measures air temperature from –10 to +50°C alongside air velocity.
- Five velocity units – selectable m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots and mph for convenient interpretation of results.
- Beaufort scale indication – displays wind force levels from 0 to 12 for quick wind intensity assessment.
- MAX/MIN/AVG modes – provide maximum, minimum and average air velocity readings.
- Fast response – a sampling interval of 0.5 seconds enables convenient observation of airflow changes.
- Backlit LCD – improves visibility in poorly illuminated measuring locations.
- Data Hold function – freezes the displayed reading for easier recording.
- Automatic power-off – reduces battery consumption and can be disabled when continuous operation is required.
Applications
The UNI-T UT363S can be used for air velocity and temperature measurements in:
- Ventilation and air extraction systems.
- Fan and air duct performance inspections.
- Building services maintenance.
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment checks.
- Manufacturing, energy and other technical environments requiring airflow measurements.
- Outdoor wind speed and temperature monitoring within the specified operating conditions.
The instrument is intended for direct air velocity and temperature measurements and for monitoring variations in airflow.
Compatibility and Limitations
- Measuring principle: vane-type air velocity sensor with integrated temperature sensing.
- Reference measurement unit: m/s is the manufacturer's primary verification unit. Other velocity units are converted reference indications.
- Volumetric airflow measurement: the instrument does not directly measure airflow volume in m³/h or CFM. Calculating volumetric airflow requires the duct or opening cross-sectional area and a properly determined average air velocity.
- Data interfaces: USB, Bluetooth and automatic measurement transfer to a computer or smartphone are not specified for the UT363S.
- Measurement range: the specified air velocity range is 0.4–30 m/s. The overload indication threshold does not extend the specified measuring range.
- Environmental limitations: the measurable air temperature range differs from the permissible operating temperature range of the instrument itself.

Design and Controls
The UT363S consists of a handheld display and control unit connected to a separate vane-type measuring sensor by a flexible cable.
The controls provide the following functions: - Power on/off. - Wind speed unit selection. - Temperature unit switching between °C and °F. - MAX, MIN and AVG mode selection. - HOLD function for freezing displayed readings. - LCD backlight control. - Automatic power-off configuration.
The display shows air velocity, temperature, Beaufort scale information and selected measurement modes.
Important Operating and Safety Notes
- Do not exceed the specified measuring and environmental operating limits.
- Protect the vane sensor from mechanical impacts and damage.
- Avoid operating or storing the instrument in environments with excessive temperature, humidity, flammable materials or strong electromagnetic fields.
- Avoid excessive vibration.
- Do not disassemble or modify the internal electrical connections.
- Clean the housing with a soft cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Remove the batteries if the instrument will not be used for an extended period.
