Inductive Proximity Sensor

Operating Principle:
The inductive proximity sensor operates on the principle of electromagnetic field alteration caused by the movement of a metallic object. The sensor generates an alternating magnetic field, which induces an eddy current in the conductor; if the conductor is ferromagnetic, it also becomes magnetized. This type of sensor is widely applicable in DIY and Arduino projects, as well as a spare component in many industrial machines.
