Safety Instructions

Butaprem contact adhesive is designed for permanent bonding of wooden materials with decorative plastic plates, for gluing rubber, leather, cork, felt, hard PVC-U, soft foam plastics, metal. It is also used for gluing veneer tapes on edges and arches, sealing the edges of solid wooden elements and plywood from moisture and atmospheric influences, as well as for sticking insulation tapes. The adhesive weld is flexible and waterproof, which is why it guarantees a durable bonding effect.

Product advantages:

flexible
waterproof
Easy to use

Possible applications:

rubber
skin
Artificial leather
metal
cork
felt
textiles
Soft PVC
ABS
Foam materials
wood
Plastics (Not suitable for gluing PE, PP, Teflon and Polystyrene)

Recommendations:

Glued surfaces must be dry, cleaned of dust, dust, greases and other adhesive-lowering substances. Clean laminates and metals with a standard solvent (e.g. petrol). Additional matting of metal surfaces increases weld strength. Glued materials, especially laminate boards, acoustic plates, etc., air-condition before processing according to the manufacturer's instructions. Glue only on unworked substrates (natural media). Matt lacquered surfaces before gluing with sandpaper.
Carefully spread a thin layer of glue on both glued surfaces with a toothed putty or a short brush. Pay special attention to the edges of the glued material. Do not dilute the glue.
After applying the adhesive, leave the glued elements to evaporate the solvent. Evaporation time at 20°C (18-25°C) is about 10-15 minutes. Pay attention to even evaporation from the entire glued surface. After the evaporation time has elapsed, gluing is possible in no more than 60 minutes. Adequate ventilation must be provided during bonding and solvent evaporation operations.
The signal to connect the two elements is that the adhesive layer is dry to the touch. Carefully prepare the parts intended for gluing, because after contact of both layers of glue correction is impossible.
Press the glued parts very firmly for a few seconds. The adhesive strength is determined by the downforce, not its time. Larger surfaces, laminate plates and metals should be pressed against the press. Depending on the detail, it may also be enough to press down on the roller. Press down from the inside to avoid blistering of air. Carefully smear with glue and press down on the edges of glued surfaces. The initial bonding force is so great that the part can be further treated immediately after pressing.
Full strength is achieved after 24 hours (depending on the temperature and the pressure used during gluing).
