Description
This DIY kit is intended for manual soldering and assembly by the user.
The tone generator section of the circuit produces different audio frequencies; each key corresponds to a different musical pitch. The electronic organ is operated by pressing the keys with the fingers to generate the corresponding notes.
Operating principle: the circuit is based on a 555 timer IC (IC555) configured as an astable multivibrator. The oscillation frequency is set by the resistor network (R1–R10). When a particular key is pressed, the associated resistor is switched into the circuit, changing the RC time constant and generating an output signal with a different frequency (tone).
Specifications:
- Supply voltage: DC 3–12 V
- PCB dimensions: length 13.5 cm, width 2.2 cm
Features:
- Simple and practical design with low power consumption. The circuit is driven by a single integrated circuit, uses few components, and has a clear, easy-to-follow layout.
- During testing and calibration, the user gains a deeper understanding of the circuit’s operating principles.
