Description
The 5 W high-power ultraviolet (UV) LED module is mounted on an aluminum star-shaped MCPCB and functions not only as an indicator, but also as an active UV radiation source. This LED operates in the UVA spectral range, which is significantly less harmful than the radiation emitted by conventional germicidal UVC lamps. The module can be used in portable UV flashlight designs intended for banknote authenticity verification, analysis of UV-reactive substances, or polymerization of UV-curable 3D printing resins.
The 5 W high-power UV LED is pre-assembled on a thermally conductive aluminum star-shaped mounting board (MCPCB). For proper operation, the module must be driven by a constant-current LED driver and mounted on an additional heatsink to ensure adequate thermal dissipation and to achieve maximum optical output. When correctly integrated, the module is suitable for detection of fluorescent security markings, visualization of chemical traces on surfaces, reading UV-tagged secret messages, and curing resin-based 3D printed parts.
