LCR-T4 12864LCD ESR SCR Meter – Product Description
The LCR-T4 is a universal electronic component tester designed for fast and accurate identification and measurement of various components. The device automatically detects the component type and displays all parameters on a clear 12864 LCD screen.
Supported measurements: - Resistors (R) - Capacitors (C) - Inductors (L) - Diodes and Zener diodes - Transistors (NPN/PNP, MOSFET, IGBT) - SCR and TRIAC - ESR measurement for electrolytic capacitors - hFE, voltage drop, leakage current, etc.
Ideal for electronics hobbyists, technicians, and repair specialists who need quick and reliable component diagnostics.
Operating Instructions
1. Power Supply
- Powered by a 9V battery (standard “Krona” type).
- Insert the battery observing correct polarity.
- The tester turns on automatically when TEST is pressed.
2. Connecting the Component
The device features a ZIF socket with pins 1–3.
- Insert the component into any pair of pins (e.g., 1–2 or 1–3).
- Lock it by pressing the green lever.
- For polarized components (electrolytic capacitors, diodes), observe correct orientation.
3. Testing Procedure
- Press TEST.
- Wait for 1–3 seconds.
- The display will show:
- Component type
- Measured values (Ω, µH, nF–mF)
- ESR
- Vloss
- hFE, Uth, Rds(on)
- Pinout (G–D–S, B–C–E, etc.)
4. Measuring Capacitors
⚠️ Warning: Always discharge capacitors before testing.
- An un-discharged capacitor may damage the tester.
- The display will show:
- Capacitance value
- ESR
- Vloss %
5. Measuring Semiconductors
The tester automatically identifies: - NPN / PNP transistors - N-MOS / P-MOS / IGBT - Pinout - hFE, Rds(on), Uth - Leakage currents - SCR / TRIAC condition
If the component is damaged, the tester may show partial or error data.
6. Common Errors
- "No, unknown or damaged part" – incorrect connection or a faulty component.
- Very small inductances (<1 µH) may be inaccurate.
- Very large capacitors (>100 mF) are measured with limitations.
7. Auto Power-Off
The device automatically powers off a few seconds after the measurement to save battery life.
