Description
FNIRSI LCR-ST1 Digital LCR Tweezer, RLC/ESR, 100 Hz–10 kHz, USB-C
The FNIRSI LCR-ST1 is a compact tweezer-style LCR meter designed for measuring resistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes, with particular emphasis on small SMD components. It provides three test frequencies, two AC test levels, primary and auxiliary impedance parameters, data hold and PC data export. The tweezer form factor makes it convenient for component sorting, electronics repair and measurements in densely populated circuit boards.
Key parameters:
R: 10 mΩ–10 MΩ • C: 1 pF–22 mF • L: 1 µH–10 H • 100 Hz / 1 kHz / 10 kHz • 0.3 / 0.6 Vrms • ESR • USB-C
Key features
- Resistance, capacitance and inductance measurement – covers 10 mΩ–10 MΩ, 1 pF–22 mF and 1 µH–10 H respectively.
- Three test frequencies: 100 Hz, 1 kHz and 10 kHz – allows the test frequency to be selected according to the component and measurement requirements.
- Two AC test levels: 0.3 Vrms and 0.6 Vrms – provides additional flexibility when testing different passive components.
- ESR and auxiliary impedance parameters – the manufacturer specifies ESR, D, Q, Z and X readouts in addition to the primary R, C or L value.
- Automatic R/C/L component recognition – speeds up routine component testing. Automatically identified component type is for reference only.
- Diode and continuity testing – diode testing is provided as a separate mode; continuity is triggered below 50 Ω in diode mode.
- Data Hold and data storage – held measurements can be stored and accessed on a computer via USB; the manufacturer specifies Excel-format measurement records.
- 1.14-inch colour display – shows measurement information, selected test frequency and test level in a compact interface.
- Replaceable tweezer tips – pointed and hook-type tip arrangements are supported for different component shapes.
- Built-in 250 mAh rechargeable battery – charged through the USB Type-C port.
Applications
The LCR-ST1 is intended for component identification and inspection, measurement of SMD resistors, capacitors and inductors, component sorting, electronics repair, prototyping and laboratory work. Its tweezer-shaped measuring arms allow small components to be contacted directly without conventional test probes.
It is suitable for electronics hobbyists, service technicians, laboratory users and engineers who require a compact portable LCR measuring instrument.
Compatibility and limitations
- Measures resistance, capacitance and inductance and provides a separate diode test mode.
- Automatic component identification does not support diode detection.
- Automatically identified component type is for reference only and may be incorrect under some conditions.
- In-circuit measurement on an assembled PCBA is not recommended; such readings are for reference only and measurement accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Do not use the instrument on energized circuits or components.
- USB Type-C is used for charging, data transfer and firmware updating.

Design and controls
The LCR-ST1 uses tweezer-style measuring arms with replaceable tips, a colour screen, multifunction dial control, Hold/Settings control and power button. The USB Type-C connector is used for charging, data transfer and firmware updates.
A short-circuit zeroing procedure is available for the selected test frequency to compensate the measurement connection before low-resistance and impedance measurements.
Important operating and safety notes
- Do not measure energized components or circuits, as this may damage the instrument.
- Discharge capacitors before measurement.
- Ensure good contact between the tweezer tips and the device under test.
- In-circuit PCBA measurement is not recommended because other connected components can influence the reading.
- The same real component may produce different readings at different test frequencies because of parasitic and distributed parameters.
- Do not use the instrument in rain or fog and protect it from moisture, strong mechanical shock and direct sunlight.
