# HK4100F-DC 24V SHG 6-Pin Electromagnetic Relay

## Product description

The **HK4100F-DC24V-SHG** is a compact PCB-mounted electromagnetic relay equipped with a **24 V DC coil** and one **1 Form C / SPDT changeover contact**. It allows an electrical load to be switched using a low-power control signal.

The relay has six terminals and is designed for through-hole installation on a printed circuit board. Its changeover contact provides both normally open and normally closed switching functions, making the relay suitable for automation, control, protection and general electronic circuits.

The contacts are rated for resistive loads up to **3 A at 250 V AC** or **3 A at 30 V DC**. Its compact sealed enclosure helps protect the internal mechanism against soldering flux, dust and environmental contamination.

## Key features

- 24 V DC operating coil

## Contact operation

When no 24 V DC voltage is applied to the coil:

- the common **COM** contact is connected to the normally closed **NC** contact;
- the normally open **NO** contact remains disconnected.

When 24 V DC is applied to the coil:

- the relay is energised;
- COM disconnects from NC;
- COM connects to NO.

This changeover configuration allows one circuit to be switched on while another circuit is switched off.

## Typical applications

The HK4100F-DC24V-SHG relay can be used in:

- automation and control boards;
- alarm and protection systems;
- power supplies;
- battery chargers and power controllers;
- heating, ventilation and temperature-control equipment;
- microcontroller-based projects;
- Arduino, ESP32, STM32 and similar control systems;
- household appliance control boards;
- lighting-control circuits;
- motor, fan, valve and solenoid control;
- test, measuring and laboratory equipment;
- low-power industrial automation systems.

## Installation and operating notes

The relay coil must be powered from a **24 V DC supply**. When controlling the relay from a microcontroller or logic output, a transistor-based driver circuit is normally required, as the relay coil should not usually be connected directly to a microcontroller output.

A flyback protection diode should be connected in parallel with the coil to suppress the inductive voltage spike produced when the relay is switched off. The diode cathode is connected to the positive coil terminal and the anode to the negative terminal.

The stated 3 A contact rating primarily applies to resistive loads. For motors, transformers, solenoids, incandescent lamps, LED power supplies and other loads with high starting or inrush currents, the permitted switching current should be reduced. An RC snubber, varistor, contact-protection circuit or higher-rated relay may be required.

Before designing the printed circuit board, verify the bottom-view pin arrangement and PCB footprint specified for the exact relay version.
