Construction and mounting

The transformer uses an EI-type magnetic core and is resin encapsulated in a PA housing. This creates a compact module intended for direct mounting on a printed circuit board.

For the TEZ 15.0/D pin configuration, the primary winding is connected to terminals 1 and 6, while the single secondary winding uses terminals 8 and 11. BREVE recommends approximately 1.2 mm PCB holes for the pins.

Important safety and operating notes

The primary circuit is connected to hazardous 230 V AC mains voltage. PCB layout and final equipment design must therefore comply with applicable electrical safety, insulation-clearance and protection-against-contact requirements.

The IP00 construction does not provide stand-alone protection against direct contact or environmental exposure, so the transformer must be properly enclosed in the final equipment.
